Hello magical SEVEN | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hello Scrappy Friends! I'm back here today with a new layout share for Cocoa Vanilla Studio featuring the BRAND NEW and seriously STUNNING collection - More than Words. Oh my HECK this collection is so so beautiful that it needs ALL the heart eye emojis one could possibly use lol

When I first saw this collection online I was IN LOVE. The patterns, the colours, all just pure magic! In person its even better, and I knew I needed to try and use them all within one layout. Challenge accepted once I took the 6x6 paper pad out of the box, pure heaven! Perfect colours for scrapbooking Leila, especially documenting this special moment - her 7th birthday.

I went a little crazy and chopped up tonnes of tiny little strips with the intention of weaving them all together in some way, similar to a layout that I created back in 2014. However I really wanted the patterns and colours to stand out rather than mix together so I ended up laying them all out randomly in a vertical line and weaved just a few to the right of where the photo is

I layered a couple of pattern papers from the 12x12 cut apart paper COLLAGE along with a frame from the ephemera pack and the photo, printed in 3x4inch size so that it didn't cover up too much of the pretty paper strips. I then created a couple of clusters around the photo by tucking in pieces of ephemera from the Die cut pack and the vellum pack, plus a couple of extras from the stickers sheet, the chipboard heart and an enamel heart. I then created a mini cluster of similar items at the top of the layout, including some machine stitching for added detail.

Next I created a mixed element title using the 'Hello' chipboard sticker, "magical" accessory sticker and alphas from the Endless Summer collection. To finish off this area I tucked in a date tab, floral ephemera piece, enamel dots and some machine stitching.

Then lastly this little area of weaved paper goodness, created to balance out the other side of the layout and bring it all together. I've used some of the left over paper strips, an accessory sticker, die cut ephemera pieces, vellum butterfly, a chipboard heart, a couple more of those precious little enamel dots and machine stitching. As a final touch to the layout I added a sprinkling of gold ink.

Well thats it from me today, I hope you've found this inspiring. It's definitely kickstarted my creative juices!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Creative Cards | D-lish Scraps

Hello Scrappy Friends! I'm back with a new creative share for D-lish Scraps, the first in over a month while I've been off on 'Sick leave'. It's taken me a while to get back in to the swing of creating, so I thought what better way to ease into it than making some cards. These are quite easy to replicate with any pieces that you may have within you own personal D-lish stashes 😍 All cards are perfect for gifting along to a friend just to say Hello, something I need to do more often to remind those I cherish that they are loved.

The first 2 cards are super simple, gathering Creative cuts and faceted enamel dots from the D-lish Scraps store along with a lace butterfly, some ombre wordfetti and left over pieces of pattern paper from the Bohemian Dream collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

So quick to create, and such a sweet card to pass along to a friend to remind them to smile  😀

This card was also quick to create by gluing and stapling the pieces together with slight hints of dimension.

The next 2 cards were a little more fiddly, made using bits and pieces from last months Papercrafters Advent Calendar . Such a fun box of goodies that was for this crafter to open, although I only got to open half the month before being admitted to hospital with gallbladder issues. That meant I had to rip the remainder open all at once which was both a happy and sad experience as I knew how much effort went into packing all those bags and to not be able to enjoy opening them as they were intended was a bummer.

For the larger card I've started with a pattern paper from the new More than Words collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I felt the colours of the floral pattern really complimented the colours of embellishments within the Advent Calendar goodies. I made one massive cluster using the large pink and green flowers, the pretty pink leaves, flair button, yellow tassel, journal it and a carnation from my stash. I cut apart the XOXO cut file piece and secured these in separate places and finished it off with some enamel dots.

Lastly this pretty card, such a happy little thing! I started with some pink cardstock layered with a 4 inch doily from my stash. I pulled the entire centre out of the yellow flower and rearranged it to sit flatter with a flair button in the centre. I tucked in a couple of the pink leaves and some resin flowers then finished it off with some sequins.

Well thats all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Creative Cards | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi Everyone, I'm back today with a super quick creative share. I'm still taking it easy since my gallbladder surgery last month, and haven't really spent much time in my craft room, so I thought what better way to ease back into it than with a couple of cards. Super simple and quite easy to replicate using pieces from the beautiful Bohemian Dream collection.

The first card I made using some offcuts of the 6x6 Paper pad cut into banner flags, 'strung' along the top of the card and stitched in place.

I used the paint smear stamp from the set in the collection and some yellow ink under the 'shine bright' sticker and layered another sticker above it to create a sweet sentiment for the recipient.

To finish the card I added a leaf from the ephemera pack and some enamel dots for a little extra pop of colour.

Second card was another super simple one but my favourite by far. I used a piece of the beautiful floral print ABUNDANT from the 6x6 paper pad behind some white cardstock, then a strip of GYPSY HEART under the chipboard word HAPPY from the collection.

I added in the word birthday with alphas from the Make a Wish collection as nothing else looked as good. Lastly I tucked in a couple of the leaf pieces from the ephemera pack, some hand writing to finish off the card and some machine stitching to hold it all in place.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, be sure to check in daily for more inspiration from the other Design team members.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
