Summer Fun | D-lish Scraps

Hello!! I'm back today with a last minute reminder about the Current D-lish Scraps Inspiration Board - Summer Squeeze. The layout I'm sharing with you all today also features the co-ordinating Just Add Paper kit

The photo I've chosen documents one of the fun things most of the younger generation love to do during summer - running through a sprinkler on a hot day. I remember the fun I used to have as a child in this very same backyard!

I've used the sketch as a rough guide for how I wanted the layout to look, using the washi tape from the kit as the main 'pattern paper' strip on the left of the layout. I machine stitched through each piece to ensure it never peels up or moves, but also as an extra decorative touch. I tried to use as many pieces from the kit as I could, including the fun flamingo die cut.

Here's some close ups..

Apart from the kit, there are quite a few items from the D-lish Store that I've used within the clusters on this layout. All of which I've linked below

January 2017 Just Add paper Kit - Summer Squeeze

Puffy Alphabet sticker - Coral

Love that Smile | the Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone! I'm back today with my newest layout share featuring one of The Cut Shoppe's NEW cut files . I love the finished look of this layout, and hope you do too!

I've used the Sweet Talker file, and sized it to fit the page so that there was white space all around the edges, then backed random hearts with pretty papers from the Make a Wish collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Here's some close ups

You can see here that I've sewn through the hearts before popping the entire cut file piece up using some foam tape, giving the page an extra layer of dimension and texture

That's all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

No explanation needed.. | D-lish Scraps

Hi Friends! I'm back today with a new layout share for D-lish Scraps using a few of my favourites from the D-lish store.. I've based it on a current Cyber Crop challenge by Anthea and grabbed a fun photo from Christmas morning. We took so many photos that morning that I'm sure I will still be scrapping them until next Christmas lol
I've chosen a colour palette of Red, black & gold with a hint of green and silver. All these colours blended well with the colours of Leila's PJ's, plus I felt the Red really popped off the page and made the photo stand out even more. I used a mix of Journal It spots for the circle design elements, including the spots on the bagenamel dots, a flair buttoncoloured wire (another element from the challenge) and even the spots on the tree cut file.

Here's another look at the challenge, which you can find within the Scrap Suite Facebook group, along with plenty more!

Now for some close ups with links to the products in store..

Happy HO HO HO to You | The Cut Shoppe

Hello Hello! I'm back today with a new layout share for The Cut Shoppe

Life is only just starting to get back to normal after a Crazy Fun Christmas/ New Year season, so I thought it was perfect time to get some Christmas photos scrapped. The one I'm sharing today was taken Christmas morning amid all the chaos of paper and presents..

For this layout I've used some trees from the Tree Farm set, along with the title from the 'Tis the Season set from the many Christmas designs there are in store. I cut the designs out from white card to make to allow them to stand out on the page rather than blend into the mix of patterns and colour.

I've sewed the trees onto pattern papers from a Hip Kit, and the title was sewed straight to the background paper. This helped to adhere the title to the page without glue, but also because I love the textured look machine stitching gives to a page.

Here's some close ups..

I layered die cuts, ephemera, a puffy sticker and flair button, from the same Hip Kit, with the trees to create an extremely large cluster.

The photo stack was created using more pattern papers from the hip kit, along with a sticker and piece of frame

To the bottom right I grouped together another die cut piece, word strip, puffy stickers and some sequins, plus a flair button and glitter * to the right of the title

Lastly a mini cluster top left of the layout to balance it all out. I also added a strip of paper to the top and bottom of the layout, and a tonne of sparkly sequins

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out whats NEW in store at The Cut Shoppe, and share with us what you create via Instagram!

Until Next Time, Happy Scrappin!

Amazing Cheeky | Scrap The Girls

Happy New Year Everyone!!
Today not only marks the start of a new challenge month for Scrap The Girls, but also the last for the current team of Designers. I've loved my time on the Design Team, and can't wait to see what the new team Inspires us with.

This Months challenge is another Mood board, one which challenged me completely!
The colour palette is quite a stunning combination, however after searching my entire stash, it seemed to be a combination that I was going to have a hard time replicating. So rather than use in as displayed I took inspiration from it to create this..

I chose papers and die cut ephemera from the Moonstruck collection by Pink Paislee to create the layout as it has very similar colours with the dark blue hues, darker pinks (rather than the plum and reds) and gold. I also chose a mint pattern that a hand drawn design similar to that of henna work.

2 super cute photos of an almost 3 year old Leila.. Cheesy smiles began really early with this one HAHA

I love ephemera pieces! They're perfect for gathering together within layers to fill a void on the page

They also work perfect for adding a fun title to the page,

and grouping in smaller clusters to finish the page off and to balance it out.

I hope this has been a splash of inspiration to kickstart your creative year! Be sure to check out the Scrap The girls blog for all the other team members creations, and to link up your work for us all to see. There's a fantastic prize available for one lucky winner this month too!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Until next post, Happy Scrapping!
