#lovethis Memory | Scrappy Canary

Hey there Scrappy Friends!! I hope you're all enjoying your week.

Have you managed to squeeze in any creative time? I've got the newest Scrappy Canary kits right here on my desk, ready to create something happy with! However,  today Im sharing a quick layout I made with the previous Pocket Life kit - Jessica

I ordered this kit, just for that floral paper in the paper pad! I haven't done any Project Life since this time last year, but the good thing about the PL kit, is that you don't have to use them just for Pocket pages! The papers and cards are perfect for layering up under photos, and by following a simple layout design like I have below, you wouldn't even know that there was no pattern paper under the photo mat!

I absolutely adore this photo of Leila. One of many taken by an awesome photographer a few weeks prior to Leila's 1st Birthday.

The quote was actually printed on the acetate cut apart sheet. Rather than use it in 3x4 card size, I cut out the strips of gold print and adhered them straight to the page

Simple embellishments gathered from my stash compliment the floral paper,
and a scattering of sequins finish off the page

Together | Scrappy Canary

Hello and Happy Weekend!!

Im back today with another layout share for Scrappy Canary using the current Leila Scrapbook kit, and some coordinating stickers from the Maggie Holmes Shine collection.

I actually started this page without a specific photo in mind. I really wanted to made a grid with random cards from the cut apart sheet mixed with some of the reverse black and off white stripe paper. It started off very similar to a previous page I had made, I've been doing that a bit lately!

I ended up chosing another photo from my cousins wedding for this layout, taken by Enchanted Wedding Photography. Another sneaky photo taken, without us knowing, and I love it! It certainly was a lovely day, and we loved that Leila was able to share the occasion with us too. I felt the sentiments on the cards and the photo of the 3 of us together worked perfectly together

I kept the grid of cards pretty simple, I cut the different cards all the same size and roughed up the edges, then layered with off cuts of papers, some heart and word stickers

even layered up some tags and cards from the ephemera pack

and lastly a extra pop of colour to the right of the photo with some more stickers and a acetate word for the title

Thanks for stopping by the last 2 days, I hope to have more to share with you very soon!

Remember Love | Scrappy Canary

Hi Scrappy friends!!
Im back today with a new layout share for Scrappy Canary using the current Scrapbook kit Leila and the Maggie Holmes Add on kit. Ive made 6 layouts in total so far, and still got plenty of papers and bits to use up!

The photo Im sharing with this layout is of Leila at my cousins wedding early last year. So well behaved and sitting nicely. I didn't even know that this was taken, but boy am I glad that it was. Certainly one of my favourites. However It was only moments before a sudden outburst that she needed to go to the toilet right then and there!!

Ive kept the papers and embellishments to a minimum with this layout, as I really wanted the photo to be the main focus of the page, along with the large mixed title

If you hadn't already guessed, I do like to mix up my titles. Whether it be different alpha stickers or die cut words, even cards from cut apart papers work well for mixed titles

I've also added in some stickers from the co-ordinating Maggie Holmes sticker sheet that I had in my stash, and splattered some black Color shine to finish the page off

Thanks for stopping by today
more to share tomorrow

Cat Woman | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone!
Today is my last share for D-lish Scraps this month, and its a miracle that I was able to have it complete on time!

Well actually, I struggled to get all 3 layouts done on time this month, as December was an absolutely crazy month for my little family. Leila turned 5 and finished her first year of Kinder, we had multiple Christmas celebrations with family, catch ups with friends, plus work and extra shopping to be done.

So, after creating my first 2 layouts in record time, I borrowed an idea that I've used previously from a challenge set in 2014

I grabbed a bunch of bitty bags and ran them across my page in rainbow order. This created a base for my photos, title, journalling and embellishments

A cute photo of Leila and her Kinder class friend 'Catwoman' on the way home from kinder earlier last year (its so weird saying last year, as it still doesn't feel like we've moved into a new one!)

I recoloured the wood veneer alphabet with white gesso, and lots of silver glitter paste, then did the same with the Memory maze chipboard chevron and some pink glitter paste. Ive grouped the Journal its from the After Five just add paper kit together to the right, then embellished the page with enamel dotsminifetti strips that co-ordinate with the bags, a flair button (from a past kit that is no longer available) and some bright resin flowers - CabochonMini DaisiesMini Cabbage Rose & Big Blooms. I've used another doily from my stash, a new Maggie Holmes roller stamp around the edges and splatters of black ColorShine to finish it off.

Heres a few close ups

Love this quote!

Welcome Back Twinkle | D-lish Scraps

Hi again everyone!
Today Im back with a fun layout inspired by a recent Cyber crop challenge by Emma.

I knew exactly what I was going to epicycle the minute I saw this challenge!
I'd been holding onto this tissue box for weeks, with the hope I could figure out how to make it work on a layout. I think it turned out great!

Welcome back Twinkle!! We had so much fun with our Elf on the Shelf in the lead up to Christmas, this photo documents the beginning of all that fun!

The tissue box colours were amazing! Some areas had a little more green than I liked so I added in some dimension by cutting up a second box into larger triangles. Since taking these photos, I think I might add a few extra to the top of the layout

I didn't want to over do this layout too much as the tissue box was already quite bold. So I created a simple photo stack with a doily from my stash, some gold star punchinella, and purple hand dyed muslin, coated the wooden letters in gold glitter paste to make them sparkle and them sprinkled some embellishments diagonally across the page. Those Forget me not flowers really are my favourite!

Love the Sequin bows in store!! I think I add one to almost all my layouts!

I've recoloured the page pebbles with white gesso, then pink & purple gelatos.

Other embellishments Ive used are the Freckled fawn glitter starsresin stars, and some enamel shapes

Thanks for stopping by today, back with more tomorrow

So Sweet | D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone!!
Happy New Year!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are recovering from some fun new years celebrations

My first layout share for D-lish Scraps this month is 'So Sweet'
I loved the Inspiration Board from last month so much I wanted to make another layout for it!
I managed to snap up one of the crazy popular Just Add paper kits and combined it with a background I made last month

The photo Ive chosen for this layout worked perfectly with the colourings from the kit, and is just another fun snap taken while snuggling on the couch last week after a crazy few days of Christmas celebrations

I made the background using some smears of left over pink texture paste, then added a layer of whipped spackle using a piece of star punchinella as a stencil.

Journal its are perfect for grouping together in clusters with embellishments, Ive even used the tag from the packaging

I've twisted some of the coloured wire around different sized pens to make spirals, and into a heart shape to add to the main embellishment cluster

Tissue paper layered behind the title for a little extra pop of colour, and to help the title stand out

Lastly, I cut up the confetti garland and scattered them around the page with some torn strips of washi tape

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to check back tomorrow for another layout
Happy Scrapping!
